Las Vegas will always remain an enigma for those in the travel industry – after all for many of us it can make up a sizeable proportion of our business, yet working out the cheapest rate can be near-on impossible. For many properties, if you sell the resort, contact your rep in the first instance as many hotels will happily comp a night or two.
If you’re in a part of the trade who doesn’t sell Las Vegas it can be harder. Consumer rates can be fantastic at times, extortionate at others.
We’ve managed to secure excellent deals rocking up to the hotel on the day with vouchers, or negotiating with the front desk, however you should be aware that a convention or big event can see room prices vary wildly (from US$32 to US$540 in the same week for dates we checked).
Fittingly, it feels like a gamble. With the deal we outline below, savings are possible but that isn’t to say you wouldn’t have got a better deal by simply turning up and bartering with the front desk…
What these deals do offer is assurance – you’ll know you’ve got a hotel room at a great rate even if there was a slim chance further savings might have been available (you might also have found yourself having to pay a fortune).
