Originally a Thai focussed chain, Dusit Hotels have slowly extended their reach further afield into a range of business and leisure hotels throughout Asia and the Middle East as well as the Maldives.

Their original Bangkok Hotel, the Dusit Thani, has a great location in central Bangkok next to Lumpini Park, and it’s worth checking out their 4* brand (Royal Princess) and the boutique styled d2 hotels for great value.

Most importantly to us, they offer a 50% discount on their properties for those in the travel industry, on what are already great valued luxury hotels.

A quick check on availability finds a wide range of dates for the Dusit Thani at 50% off (coming in about £50). It is worth noting that the rates exclude taxes, another tip is to look for Club Room upgrades as these give some great deals on breakfast.

As for the Maldives, they  offer 50% off Beach Villas and Water Villas with Pools throughout most dates (even Christmas & New Year) – but this is an uber-luxury resort – with prices ranging upwards of $500 and going into four-figures in peak season. You should take into account that the Industry rates are Room Only – so food & drink will also need to be budgeted for.

We love Anantara Hotels, whether you chose a villa or suite and in any location, the feel is always luxurious and relaxed.

Anantara (and it’s other brands including Avani) have a number of hotels in Thailand – from all Pool Villa Anantara Rasananda on Koh Phangan to great family accommodation at the Anantara Baan Rajprasong in Bangkok. They also have fantastic hotels in other countries – from Bali to Mozambique!

What we also love is how easy it is to take advantage of their generous offers available to travel industry employees.

You simply go to their site, search for a location and dates and then apply the code in the promotions box. Job done.

We recommend having two tabs open, put the promotion code in one and then do the exact same search only without the code, this is the easiest way to get a sense of how much you are saving. It is not uncommon to find savings of well beyond 30%.

For the rest of the hotel brands within the group, the best bet is to head to the vanilla special offers page, though discounts are more in the range of 10 to 15% than 50%.

Thai Airways Industry Fares 2018

Thai Airways have released their 2018 Industry Fares to a wide range of destinations in Thailand and Asia. Fares start at £404 per person including all taxes, and you can take upto 3 companions! It’s easy to check availability before you travel (longhaul in W Class).

Thailand has a wide range of hotels offering industry discounts as well – we’ll be covering these over the weeks to come.

Needless to say that Thai Airways are a fantastic airlines – offering genuine hospitality from the moment you step on board (this is the voice of experience rather than a PR release!). We strongly recommend you try and book onto their once daily A380 departure – or if it returns to the LHR route – their brand spanking new A350.

Rumours of a launch from Manchester have been spreading for a while, so fingers crossed for this – and of course a few industry fares and FAM trips to promote the routes!
